A feeling of sickness and dread crawl over me

I was lead to believe in modesty

            but ego and arrogance only show

                        that I haven’t had time to grow

Instead I’m as petulant as you’ve always seen me

This narcissism fluctuates making me angry

            at the ignorance I’m quick to see

                        in peers, friends, and relatives

 

Subjective vs. Objective

Fuck you, fuck me?

But from the collective I’m not so straight

            but bents and crooked

I’m being selfish for all to see

            and lacking any sense of urgency.
